The Friends of LOM ORNG ORGANISATION network arose in 2009, as we realised we needed a formal channel for donations from individuals and smaller companies.

Our major funding comes from philanthropic and charitable organizations in the developed world, and from our business enterprises within Cambodia.

However as LOM ORNG ORGANISATION's work became better-known, we started to hear from individuals in developed countries who wanted to help out financially, and from some more fortunate Cambodians with the same idea.

Thus Friends of LOM ORNG ORGANISATION was born. The network is for individuals and smaller corporations wishing to fund, or donate goods in kind to, more 'niche' projects not usually covered by our major donors. Such funds are disbursed on a more ad hoc basis (no large planning documents, or lengthy lead-times), and usually over shorter timeframes.

Many of these 'niche' schemes materialise in the course of a project - for example:

  • The support of trainees' families whilst the breadwinner is training.
  • Cleaning up a stream in a community near a project.
  • Establishing a fruit orchard in a VTC.
  • Provide advice or resources from abroad in areas of your expertise - for example medicine, psychology, management, finance.
  • Donating goods in kind - prosthetics, computers, motorcycles & other vehicles.

The mechanics of becoming a Friend of LOM ORNG ORGANISATION are simple:

  • Identify a project you like the look of from the above list, or contribute an idea.
  • Contact us so we can discuss how you can help.

Friends of LOM ORNG ORGANISATION receives no funding from our major donors, and is managed by existing staff, with zero overheads.
